Today I decided to take it easy and enjoy a lovely lazy day in Perth at the beach. This outfit post is very relaxed beach Summer ware. I realised recently I have been living in Perth four months and haven't shown you any of my beach looks yet. As Summer  is fast approaching in Europe I thought you might like to see how I styled this Summers hot 'IT' item the kimono.
I bought this longline Kimono in Supre just after Christmas as I loved the intense royal blue chiffon colour and it's sprawling flower motif. The flower pattern is very a  modern take on an oriental style print typical of a traditional kimono. The kimono is a perfect summer stable as it is easy to wear and breathable in the heat while keeping you covered up from the sun. The kimono is set to be a big trend for Spring Summer 14 and I particularly love the waistline length kimono that has fringing.I spotted the kimono on a few snaps of people at London Fashion Week and they styled it with jeans. I think I might give that look ago next! I kept my look simple and styled my kimono with a sorbet lemon frayed hem pair of shorts and a white crop t...perfect for the beach yet stylish enough to stand out. I had a lovely day today,it is so nice to live close to the beach and I try to get there as much as possible to take full advantage of living in the sun.
Yesterday you might of noticed my Facebook post that I attended an advanced blogging course. It was a really intense day jam packed with fantastic information and I found Amanda Kendle the lecturer so inspiring as were other members of the group. I left feeling very informed and excited about blogging. Amanda Kendle has been blogging for ten years and it was fantastic to learn first hand from someone who has an amazing blogging presence (as she has two successful blogs and is about to start a third) and gain insight into the world of better blogging. There is so much to know besides what you actually blog about and I think the course really was of huge benefit to me. I also got to meet some fantastic other bloggers and visit Claremont. The blogging course was held in an area of Perth called Claremont and oh my god I was blown away! I didn't realise this fashion hub existed. Claremont boasts an impressive array of high street brands in the Claremont shopping centre. What really captured my attention was the unique boutiques in the nearby streets. I fell in love with the area. The minute I walked off the train yesterday morning I felt like I had found my home... Everyone walking by me was so glamorous and stylish. I nearly didn't make it too my course as I was eager to have a look into the shopping centre but thankfully I resisted the urge and decided I would get a proper look on my way home. So after finally navigating through the area thanks to google maps I got to my blogging course a little late but not carrying any shopping bags.Thankfully when the course had ended the shops in Claremont were just closing so I had to make do with some window shopping. Which I think was the best outcome otherwise a whole lot of panic buying might of happened. Claremont is a unique array of high street meets sophisticated cool where all the trendy go to lunch and shop. I am already planning my next trip back. Have any of you ever visited Claremont? I think it might be a good place to pick up a Kimono and probably a whole lot more stylish finds!
How would you style this Summers Kimono?
